The easiest entry into the underwater world. Snorkeling builds water confidence, mask comfort, fin efficiency and surface awareness without the extra task loading of scuba equipment.

Orientation, not a mandatory route. This ladder is designed to show how knowledge and responsibility can progress from simple water confidence toward advanced and specialist diving. Not every diver needs to continue through every step, and formal course names, prerequisites and limits vary between training organizations. The HUD and guide are educational orientation material, not a substitute for appropriate training, supervision, dive planning or manufacturer instructions.
